Class Components

​General Overview

During your time in a group class setting or in a private session, pole tricks will be taught to you at a comfortable yet challenging pace that keeps pole fitness interesting and exciting. As you progress through learning basic inversions and spins, the difficulty level of pole tricks will increase and transitions between tricks will be taught to merge multiple tricks into combinations and ultimately a routine. Pole tricks will be taught at the speed at which the student is comfortable. The student(s) may choose to have the pole static or spinning.

​Static Pole Sessions

Static pole sessions involve learning pole tricks and transitions on a pole which is fixated in the ground and does not move. Because the pole is static, strength is required more for static pole fitness than spinning pole. Tricks, however, are generally better learned on a static pole because there are less variables to consider while executing tricks. While the student(s) may choose to sign up for spinning pole sessions, it is recommended to take at least one static pole session or have a pole fitness backgrond before signing up for spinning pole sessions.

​Spinning Pole Sessions

Spinning pole sessions involve learning pole tricks and transitions on a pole which spins around its center. Because the pole spins, the student(s) are now challenged to execute tricks while rotating around the pole's center. Centripetal acceleration and deceleration around the pole by body placement is also learned. Because of the additional horizontal force exerted, strength-based moves are generally easier to execute. Due to the additional variables introduced by spinning pole, it is recommended to take at least one static pole session or have a pole fitness background before signing up for spinning pole sessions.
